Meet Kristi McKennon - Attorney

From the moment you meet Kristi McKennon, her sincere desire to help those injured and charged with crimes to obtain a fair result is evident. A personal injury attorney for the next generation, Kristi became an associate at Flynn, Merriman & Palmer, P.S., in August, 2005. Her understanding of multimedia technology and computers in the courtroom makes your case come alive for the jury.

Kristi was born and raised in the Tri-Cities and, other than her years in college and law school, this is the only place she has ever called home. Raised in a family with strong union ties as the daughter of a Local Union 598 steamfitter, Kristi has a clear appreciation for hard work, a passion for fighting for your cause and a desire to level the playing for the injured.

As a former prosecutor with both Whitman and Benton Counties, Kristi’s practice also involves defending those charged with crimes. With particular emphasis in DUI, Kristi believes in your right to a fair trial and she holds the State to its burden of proof. As a prosecutor, Kristi has successfully tried DUI cases and has assisted in several of the firm’s large personal injury cases.

Believing firmly in the rights of individuals and the injured, Kristi finds political involvement is key. In 2004 she was selected as a delegate to her party’s state convention in Tacoma. While working her way through undergraduate and law school, Kristi participated in the management of several judicial campaigns and was on the State Board of the Washington American Civil Liberties Union.

Outside the Office
Kristi coaches the Kennewick High School Mock Trial Team with Jay Flynn. She enjoys golfing, skiing and spending time with the three generations of her family who live here in the Tri-Cities. Her husband Steve, a native of Bothell, Washington, is a Project Engineer working primarily on Hanford-related projects.
